Art’n'Go @ Sziget Festival

Last month, I spent a week in Budapest, Hungary, rehearsing for, and performing at the Sziget festival with the Roots & Routes International project Art’n’Go.

The performance took place on the A38-Wan2 stage, one of the festival’s main stages (10.000p capacity), on Sziget’s Zero-Day, right after Prince. It featured scenes from all six Art’n’Go live productions: About Traffic, Braincheck, Coloured Life, My World, Reality in Disguise and Traces.

These shows were created by a group of fifty musicians, vocalists, dancers and visual artists over the course of the last two years. The individual concepts and productions all center around ‘consciousness’ and were put together and performed during several creative residencies in a.o. Remsheid / Cologne, London, Antwerp, Rotterdam, Lille and Barcelona.

Full versions of all shows were first presented at the Fabbrica Europa Festival in Florence in May 2011.

The performance at Sziget was the first integral presentation of all productions in a single performance based around consciousness.

The media team is still working very hard on finishing up the audiovisual recordings and press material, but I’ve added some pictures and video footage on here to give you a general impression. Naturally, as soon as the ‘proper’ material is finished you will be able to find that on here as well.
